Let's Talk About: Sleep

Ah sleeping, one of my favourite weekend activities. I recently found out that March is International Sleep Awareness Month from a sleep loving company called Casper Mattress that is trying to generally raise awareness. Of course it's now nearly the end of the month (oops) which seems to have flown by!

I'd love to spend every day sleeping in till mid afternoon, but I've been so busy with University work that that hasn't been an option lately! I love this little infographic Caspar sent, and I've definitely related to them all at some point but probably the one that suits me most is The Bed Hogger (hello starfish sleeping style).

Which one are you? And just before I go I'll leave you with these sleep inspired nails - Snorlax Nail Art - the laziest of all the Pokémon.

What's In My Bag?

Hey! I love being nosy and seeing what other people carry about with them, but I've never personally done one. I'm currently in Hong Kong visiting a friend for a week, so I figured now would be the perfect time to show you what I took with me - just hand luggage though, else we'll be here forever...

The colour isn't showing up very well, but I've got a large mint satchel to keep everything in, with handy extra pockets and a big front panel where I've got 'important stuff' like travel documents; passport, train tickets, purse etc.

I'm taking my phone, headphones, iPad and Kindle for entertainment, as well as a Juice cube so nothing runs out of battery. I've also packed some sleeping tablets, since it's a night flight and a few beauty essentials: concealer, lipstick, perfume (in a Travalo of course), a nail file, a face mist and some SPF moisturiser for when I land.

It seems like I've packed lightly, but the weight of my bag says otherwise!

The Five Word Makeup Tag

Hey! So one of my favourite bloggers, Chloe from thriftyskies, recently made a tag which I love the sound of, so I thought I'd give it a go!

The rules are as follows:
  • List your favourite makeup products and describe why you like them in 5 words.
  • At least one product for each category: Eyes, Lips & Face
  • Phrases such as 'high coverage' count as one word - if you were just to say 'high' it would be pretty vague and so use a phrase where you see fit, another example being 'Long Lasting' being one word.
  • When you've finished the tag, tag 5 other people to take part! Let them know that they've been tagged, too.

Eyes:
Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara: Brown - natural, length, curling, smooth formula, plastic brush, no clumps
Zoeva 229 Eye Finishing Brush - soft, blending, finishing touch, smoky eye, fix over-application

Lips:
Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick: 110 - bright, coral, matte, lasting, doesn't bleed
Urban Decay Super Saturated Lip Colour: Crush - bold, fun, blue undertones, stays put, easy application

Face:
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer - base, smooth, light-weight, even, pore-hiding
Nars Sheer Glow - medium coverage, buildable, layerable, perfect colour match, natural finish

The bloggers I'd like to tag are: Victoria, Georgina, BelleCorrie and Beth. Looking forward to the responses!

Liebster Award Take Two

Hey! Back at the start of January, the lovely Amee tagged me in her Liebster Award, and then at the start of this month Sarah tagged me in hers! I've done one of these before, but since the questions are different I thought I'd do it again.

The basic idea is to help share blogs that have less than 300 followers to get them recognised a bit more!

The Rules: Answer the questions you have been set, then come up with 10 more questions and tag 10 more bloggers to answer them! - I've seen varied versions of the rules, but this is what I'm going with.
Amee's Questions:

What is your favourite make and shade of Lipstick?
I absolutely love the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks, as featured in my 2013 faves!

If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
If I could teleport to a Caribbean beach, that would be fantastic.

What is the worst beauty product you have ever tried out?
Benefit foundations - unfortunately they break me out, they must have some ingredient in them that does not agree with my skin!

Who are your favourite bloggers?
Kate from gh0stparties.com, Joy from joythebaker.com

What one item of clothing could you never live without?
Leggings! I basically live in leggings, they're just so easy and comfy to wear.

What is your favourite candle scent?
I love vanilla-y scented candles, and especially the sort that smell of cakes or frosting.

Twitter or Instagram?
Twitter, because I'm rubbish at remembering to take pictures and put them on Instagram, my feed usually just ends up being 80% my nails...

What is your all time favourite song?
I don't have an ALL TIME favourite, but my current favourites are

If you were a superhero what powers would you want?
Ah this is always such a tricky question! Flying would be awesome, but teleportation is faster!

What is your favourite accent?
Australian! They always so so cheery, and I love watching the Australian Masterchef more than the UK version because of the accents.

What shop are the majority of your clothes from?
I like to shop in a variety of clothes shops, but most of my clothes are probably from New Look. They're great for being on trend and affordable, plus their skinny jeans will forever be my holy grail jeans - they make them in longer leg lengths too, which I need!

Sarah's Questions:

What has been your biggest makeup faux pas?
Back when I first started wearing makeup, I would match my eyeshadow to the same colour as what I was wearing that day - cringe!

What's the best makeup tip you've ever been given?
Kate from gh0stparties.com  recently mentioned in a video that it can be better to apply different correcting primers to prep the skin, so you need less foundation. Seems to be working so far!

Do you spend more money on makeup or skincare?
Makeup, because I have a lot more of it!

And do you spend more time on makeup or skincare?
Day to day, probably skincare - but smoky eyes for nights out can't be rushed!

How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
About 20-30 minutes in total. I prefer to have showers in the evening, so I don't need to include that. My record though, is literally 5 minutes when my alarm failed to go off once. Oops.

Where's your favourite place to shop for makeup?
Boots, because there's loads of brands together - and a mix of high end with drugstore (in my local Boots anyway). I definitely wish we had a Sephora in the UK!

Name your favourite high end and favourite drugstore makeup brands, and why?
High end: Urban Decay, for all their eye products. Drugstore: Rimmel, for their lipsticks and great value!

Three items of makeup that you couldn't be without?
Mascara, foundation and lipstick!

Which brands have you always wanted to try but haven't as yet?
Bourjois, Smashbox and Lord & Berry.

Name the top 3 items on your beauty wishlist?
MAC Club eyeshadow, Nails Inc Baker Street, and a small angled brush.

Why did you decide to start blogging?
After reading and loving so many other blogs, I felt I wanted to be a part of it! And getting really into beauty, for months before I actually began blogging I kept thinking to myself "I could blog about that".

My Questions:

One place in the world you'd really like to visit?
If you had to go without either eye makeup or lip products, which would you choose?
Reason behind your blog name?
What SS14 trends are you looking forward to?
What are your hobbies? (other than blogging of course)
Always overdressed, or always underdressed?
A quote or saying you try and live by?
Your top three skincare products?
Which is worse: too much blusher, or wonky eyeliner?
Favourite bands/artists at the moment?

The Winter Tag

Hey! Back in December (which seems so long ago now!) I was tagged by Francesca from The Francesca Diaries to do the Winter Tag!

This is my first official tag, that I haven't invited myself to, so I couldn't resist! I had a pretty busy December though, and then exams happened, so I haven't gotten round to it until now... (bad Charley). Because of this, I've omitted the questions about Christmas - it's definitely a tad early to be getting excited just yet, but if you do want to read some similar answers I did the Christmas tag here.

Okay, time for the tag!

The Rules:

Share 12 Random Facts about yourself.
Answer the 12 Questions from another Blogger.
List 12 Bloggers you want to tag.
Let the Bloggers know they have been nominated.

The Facts:

I'm in my third year of an Electronic Engineering degree.
I will be turning 21 this year!
I have two dogs called Bailey and Coco.
I have never broken a bone (had a couple of fractures though).
My favourite card in the deck is the 8 of diamonds.
I hate mushrooms, because they squeak when you eat them.
I've been to Egypt 3 times but never seen the pyramids.
In the past I've had my hair blue, purple and red (but not at the same time!)
I still bite my nails; a habit I really want to kick.
I used to be afraid of wolves (because of this film) but I'm not any more.
I once tweeted a joke to Dara O'Briain during one of his shows, which he made me tell to the audience.
One day I would like to live abroad - preferably somewhere warm.

The Questions:

What are your favourite things about winter?
Christmassssssssss! Also New Year's Eve. Most definitely not the cold weather though, brrr.

What is your favourite winter outfit?
Oversize jumper, leggings and cosy boots! This is pretty much the kind of thing I wear daily (more on that in a future post), I find it more difficult to branch out and be more 'fashionable' in the colder weather.

What is your favourite winter food?
Roast dinners! My favourite is roast pork (mmm crackling and apple sauce) and it is always essential to have roast potatoes in my opinion!

Favourite winter drink?
Generally, lattes! I've been pretty addicted to Starbucks Toffee Nut Latte, but they've disappeared with the festive season being over (boo). I love most flavours of latte though, which are thankfully available all year round!

What is your dream way to spend a winters day?
I don't think I really have one to be honest! There's something lovely about having a relaxing bath with bubbles and a face mask when the weather has been miserable though.

How do you like your make up in the winter?
By current daily sort of makeup is a heavier base, neutral eyes with winged liner, bronzed cheekbones, and a dark red lip. (Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming post!)

What is your favourite winter song?
I don't really vary my music by season, but I am currently loving Skulls by Bastille and Odd Look by Kavinsky.

What is your favourite winter memory?
During first year of uni, during the heavy snow, we borrowed some dinner trays from our hall and used them as makeshift sleds down one of the hills on campus. It was so much fun, despite getting absolutely drenched in snow!

What is your favourite winter scent?
I don't really switch up my fragrance depending on season, but my current perfume is Nina by Nina Ricci.

The Bloggers:

I'm not actually going to tag anyone for this (such a rebel), because we are getting towards the end of winter now but if anyone does really want to do it, feel free!

Christmas Tag 2013

Hey! Now that it's only a few days left till Christmas, I am getting super excited! So I figured it would be a great time to do the Christmas Tag!

So without any further ado, onto the questions!

1. Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
We've actually never had a real tree, so I'm going to have to go with synthetic for this one! I'm not sure I could even tell you what a real tree smells like...

2. You're in a coffee shop, what do you pick?
Does this mean I have to reveal my slight coffee addiction at the moment? I'm loving all the festive flavours: in particular Gingerbread and Cream Latte, and Black Forest Hot Chocolate from Costa, but my absolute favourite is the Toffee Nut Latte from Starbucks. (This year also happens to be the first time I've actually had a Starbucks coffee!)

3. What's your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
Any really! At home we have two trees: one in the lounge which matches the colour scheme of blues and lilacs, and one in the conservatory which is more traditional colours of red and gold, and also has all the home-made decorations I did when I was younger!

4. Giving or receiving?
BOTH! I'm not going to lie, I get very excited about my own presents but I also love going out shopping and picking out gifts for everyone else! Especially the little stocking filler type presents, the extras that make Christmas a bit special compared to a regular birthday-type present!

5. To mince pie or not to?
Absolutely have to! I'm a huge fan of mince pies, warm or cold. My first mince pie this year was far too early to be socially acceptable, but I don't care because I love them. Last year I actually had a go at making mincemeat muffins, and those were delicious too! There's just something festive and yummy about raisins and sultanas and cinnamon and whatever else they put in mincemeat.

6. What's your traditional Sunday lunch?
Everything. Actually everything. I'm talking turkey, stuffing, ALL of the vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets, cranberry sauce, and of course not forgetting gravy. (Feeling hungry now.) The other thing that's traditional for me to be eating on Christmas day, is the breakfast I have of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. (And champagne, because when else but Christmas can you drink champagne with breakfast?) I think this is actually traditional in France; I'm not French but I just love it.

7. Christmas day fashion?
This year I will be wearing my Christmas pudding patterned t-shirt! I couldn't find a nice jumper for a reasonable price, so I opted for this instead. I will probably wear it with leggings and fluffy, festive socks!

8. What's your favourite Christmas song?
I wish it could be Christmas every day by Wizzard, it's so happy and cheery and makes me want dance around the house! I love it compared to some other Christmas songs which actually have quite sad lyrics when you really listen.

9. What's your favourite Christmas film?
Okay I have a confession to make here: there are a shocking amount of Christmas films I haven't seen. I'll get round to it eventually, if I can ever stop watching my actual favourite which 100% has to be Elf. Maple syrup and spaghetti anyone?

10. Open presents before or after lunch?
I have absolutely no patience, so presents is the first thing which happens in the day and has been since my childhood. I actually don't have a whole lot of extended family, so I don't tend to do 'social Christmas visits' in the afternoon type of thing, so all the present business is done in the morning. As a kid it meant I had all day to play with my new toys, now it means I have time to get over the ridiculous amount of Christmas food consumed at lunch, while crashing in front of festive TV!

I tag anyone who has yet to do this and wants to!

Baking Beauties Tag

Hey! Today's post is a tag I just couldn't resist passing up! I was indirectly tagged by Jessica-Leigh at Dungarees and Donuts and since I love baking, I thought why not?

I'm also already missing the Great British Bake Off, since the final was last week! I won't spoil the result in case you still haven't seen it (where have you been?!) but how good did that cake look!

image credit to Hayley and Charlotte

1. What is the first thing you remember baking?
Probably Christmas cake with my mum, it's now our yearly tradition!

2. What was the last thing you baked?
A coconut and lime cake, my parents' favourite!

3. Something you've always wanted to bake?
I've always wanted to have a go at making a gingerbread house! They look so much fun to decorate.

4. Tell us about a time you baked something and it went ridiculously wrong.
I once got the quantities completely wrong for a Red Velvet cake, and by trying to correct it ended up with some crazy new invention of cake ...and not in a good way.

5. Be honest, do you lick the spoon?

...Yes. And the bowl. (What else am I going to do while the cake is in the oven?)

7. What baking success are you most proud of?
Finally getting French macarons right! Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry would be proud.

8. Do you tidy up as you go along or leave one big mess until the end?
Definitely one big mess at the end! And then I despair at the sight of all that washing up...

9. Do you use recipe books or get them online?
A bit of both really! I like to go to trusted sources for my recipes, chefs and bakers who's recipes I've tried before and have a better idea that their recipe will work!

10. Do you stick to the recipe or do you experiment a little?
For the first time, I always stick to the recipe, but then when I'm a bit more familiar I'll start to swap ingredients and flavours.

11. Who are your favourite food bloggers?

12. What is your favourite thing to bake?
Profiteroles! I like making choux pastry, and there are various steps with making profiteroles so it keeps it interesting!

Since I sort of tagged myself in this, I'd now like to tag anyone else who wants to have a go at this tag! If you do, leave me a comment and a link so I can read your answers!

Halloween Makeup Tutorials: #bloggoween

Hey! As you may have guessed, today's post is all about Halloween and I'd like to share two makeup tutorials with you - one scary, one not-so, but both are really easy and use hardly any products! This is part of a series I'm taking part in along with other bloggers: #bloggoween. Hopefully this give you some ideas with plenty of time for Halloween this year.

So, without any further waffle: onto the tutorials!

Sugar Skull

First, cover your eyebrows and apply concealer to your lips, then draw large circles around each eye, and fill in with a colour of your choice. Re-outline with a thicker line and draw petals around the edges. For the mouth, draw a fake smile extending from the corners of your mouth, and draw small vertical lines across this. Add a cobweb effect across your forehead, and complete with a black nose.

This look would be great with a floral crown if you still have one around from summer festivals, or simply a rose tucked behind the ear! If you were feeling fancy; you could add glitter or rhinestones to the petals around the eyes, or if like me you prefer to be scary at Halloween; you could zombify this look with some white contacts and some grey contouring - you could even add some fake blood if you want!

Killer Clown

Start with a white base, cover your brows, then draw an outline of an oversize mouth and fill in the teeth. Outline this with a red lipstick, and finish the edges with a black eyeliner. For the eyes, use a black eyeliner to draw a cross over one eye then smudge out. Use black eyeshadow to continue smudging out the shape, and apply messily all over the other lid. Finally, use red lipstick to add a red nose and black eyeliner for eyebrows.

All you'd really need to make this work is a red clown wig, but if you wanted some extra horror - fake blood wouldn't go amiss!

Hope you found some inspiration here!

The Autumn Tag!

Hey! I've been seeing a lot of these around the last few weeks, and although I haven't technically been tagged, I wanted to jump in on the action.

photo credit here (edited by me)

Favourite thing about Autumn?
That weather that's not too hot, and not too cold - -no need to worry about layers just yet! Also having a reason to light all my scented candles I've been accumulating!

Favourite drink?
Lattes! All of the flavours really, but I particularly love gingerbread and caramel. While we're on the subject of hot beverages, I really want to try Costa's new Chocolate and Orange Mocha Latte!

Favourite scent?
With summer over, I'm finding myself returning to my beloved Nina by Nina Ricci which I got for Christmas last year! It's the perfect balance of fruity and oriental for me, making it great for day or night.

Best lipstick?
Has to be Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lisptick in 107; this is a recent purchase but it really is the perfect wearable berry lip colour!

Go to moisturiser?
Body-wise I don't really have a staple moisturiser, but for my face I make sure to use one which isn't too heavy on my combination skin. At the moment I'm using Clinique's Anti-Blemish moisturiser.

Go to colours for the eyes?
My favourite has to be a gold smokey eye, but this season I'm trying to branch out with plum and berry colours as well as more bronzey tones.

Favourite band/singer to listen to?
At the moment I'm really loving a new-ish duo called Capital Cities (they have such catchy songs!) and Diana Vickers new album; Music to Make the Boys Cry. I also don't think I can ever go wrong with a bit of Bastille or Ellie Goulding!

Favourite outfit to wear?
I love that Autumn fashion can be so easy, just by throwing on a cosy jumper and some leggings. And depending on choice of boots/shoes, an outfit can be dressed up or down.
Another thing that's good about Autumn is having the excuse to hide a bad hair day under a chunky beanie hat.

Autumn treat?
Fluffy socks! I'm not a big fan of wearing normal socks around the house, or slippers but there's something about fluffy bed-type socks that make a difference!

Favourite place to be?
In the kitchen baking up some yummy treats to be eaten fresh and warm from the oven. Mince pies anyone? Or am I thinking a bit too far ahead...

Let me know if you've done this tag, I'd love to have a read!

Weekend Wishlist #3 & #roseenospend

Hey! Okay, I know its not the weekend any more (wishful thinking) but this was meant to go up yesterday - oops! So at the moment, I'm taking part in Sophie's joint bloggers spending ban #roseenospend which means no skincare, beauty or fashion purchases for 30 days! I've been doing this for a week now and the first week has been pretty easy, since I only recently went shopping (purchases here). Having said that, I'm pretty much always lusting after some new beauty product or item of clothing! So today I'm going to share with you the latest version of my never-ending but ever-changing wishlist.

1. Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Refining Tonic - £17 here
I've recently noticed that my skin is tending more toward oily than usual (I normally have combination skin with an just oily T-zone) and I heard that this product is good for reducing oil. That, and I need a new toner anyway.

2. Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder - £23.50 here
A little pricey for a bronzer, but I'm struggling to find a cheaper alternative which is a matte finish and suited to pale skin (any suggestions welcome!) and I love the Coralista blush so I'm hoping this will live up to similar hype.

3. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray 75ml - £18 here
Okay, this is Zoella's fault... I just bought a volume/root boosting spray and it is working pretty well, but when I saw her blog post about this, I immediately wanted one myself! The full size is very expensive but Space NK do have a smaller version for cheaper.

4. A Rose Gold Watch
For some reason, even though I hardly ever wear a watch (and that's being generous), I really fancy a rose gold watch! The other problem is all the ones I really like are quite pricey. Such as this one by Marc Jacobs.

5. Topshop Iridescent Chain Necklace - £10 here
A slightly more within budget accessory, is this iridescent chain necklace from Topshop which I saw last time I was shopping but opted not to buy as I already have dozens of necklaces.

6. Urban Decay Super Saturated Lip Colour in Punch Drunk - £14 here
I mentioned here that I quite wanted this lip crayon, and I still do but I think I'll wait until springtime and the sunshine is back, when bright colours will be a but more on trend.

7. Oh My Love Lace Skater Dress - £22 here
And finally we have this gorgeous dress from Oh My Love. It's £40 on their website, but nearly half price on ASOS. I really hope this stays this way until my spending ban is over!

Prairie Charms Tag

Hey! Today's post is something a bit different! I've been approached by Prairie Charms - an online jewellery and accessories boutique - to take part in a little blog series they're doing as part of a relaunch of their website! The blog series involves myself and other bloggers answering questions and our posts are automatically entered into a competition where we get to design our own piece of jewellery! (Plus other stuff, but that's the bit I find exciting). They've also offered a little extra 35% off purchases on their website for my lovely readers (use JEWELS35 at checkout).

So, on with the questions they've asked:

1) Describe your jewellery style in three words:
Fun. Quirky. Metallic.
2) What was the first bit of jewellery you ever purchased? (If you purchased it yourself, why did it stand out to you, and if you got it as a gift what was it for?)

I honestly can’t remember! It would have been so long ago, but I reckon it would have been from Claire’s Accessories – I used to love that shop when I was younger!

3) What is your most meaningful piece of jewellery?
All of my most meaningful jewellery is in a separate jewellery box, and has been bought for me by family members over the years. This includes my christening bangle/bracelet and some gold jewellery from my grandparents; bought in the Souks when they used to live in the Middle East.

In addition to that though, I have my Pandora bracelet and all the charms currently on it have some sentimental value or memory attached to it. In particular I have one charm which has “Dreams Really Do Come True” engraved on it, and this inspires me to stay determined even if things are tough, and I have a good luck owl charm my mum got me last year after I had a bit of a rough patch.

4) What is your jewellery style or do you own an eclectic mix?

I’d say my style varies slightly with current trends. For example, I used to love big statement necklaces but more recently I have been opting for simpler pendants/chains.

I don’t tend to wear much colour in my jewellery – it tends to be the metallic colours, with small details – with the exception of earrings. Of which some of my favourites are oversized cherries studs.

5) What is your favourite type of jewellery? (Rings, necklace, bracelet, earrings, or something else?) And is there a type of jewellery that you've never got along with?
I definitely love wearing necklaces, I really think they can change a whole outfit – but I have to say I would feel a bit naked without a pair of earrings – usually just a simple pair of studs; I rarely wear anything which dangles or loops!

I can’t wear bangles! My wrists are just too skinny for the size they tend to make them in. I also find it tricky to buy costume jewellery rings because my fingers are so small!

6) Whose jewellery box would you love to raid? (It could be a celebrity, a friends, or somebody from your own family) and why?
The Queen! Imagine having access to all those Crown Jewels?!

Failing that though, I know I already raid my mum’s jewellery quite regularly (still ‘borrowing’ one necklace on long term) – sorry mum!

7) Silver or gold? Are you somebody that despises the other or would you settle for a wide variety of colours?
A bit of both really, depends on what I’m wearing that day. Having said that, I’m really loving rose gold at the moment!

8) How do you store your jewellery? Do you put it in a jewellery box or have it displayed for the world to see?
I have several places to store my jewellery; expensive sentimental type jewellery has its own jewellery box; my earrings, rings, and belly rings have a little box; and the rest of my necklaces/bracelets (and sometimes hair clips) hang on a jewellery tree.

9) Do you own any heirloom jewellery? If so, what is it and who is it from?
I don’t think so, I have a few rings which used to be my mums/nanas but other than that nothing which has been passed down through many generations. It’s probably just as well – I’d be too scared of breaking it!

10) Who are your favourite jewellery brands and which piece of jewellery are you looking to add to your collection next?
I don’t really have a favourite brand for jewellery; I just choose jewellery pieces I like from all sorts of shops!

I’m currently looking for a memorable piece from Clogau for my 21st birthday (even though its ages away!). Clogau make jewellery using Welsh rose gold for accents, and I think it will be nice to have something connected to my welsh roots.

Liebster Award!

Hey! The lovely Emily has nominated my blog for a Liebster Award! This is basically a way for bloggers to help spread the word about other bloggers with under 200 followers. 'Liebster' is German word which means kindest, sweetest, nicest -  a lovely thing to name an award!

The rules for a Liebster Award are:
  1. You have to answer the 10 questions that your nominator gave you
  2. You then have to nominate 10 bloggers who have under 200 followers and link them in the post
  3. Come up with 10 new questions for the nominees to answer
  4. Finally, inform the nominees so they can do their responses
So, here are my responses to Emily's questions:
  1. If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be?
Absolutely has to be America! By which I mean USA, I'm currently saving up to go on a trip with my best friend after I've graduated uni.
  2. If you could only use 1 brand of beauty for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Urban Decay for sure! I don't think I've ever bought anything from them I haven't loved!
  3. Straighteners or curlers?
Ooh tough one, I'm quite versatile with my hair, but I think it would have to be straighteners just for my fringe!
  4. Foundation or tinted moisturiser?
Up until recently I would have definitely said foundation, but having recently tried Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser I could be swayed!
  5. Favourite high street brand?
Probably Rimmel, purely for the quality of the Kate Moss lipsticks! Speaking of which...
  6. One lipstick you couldn't live without?
It's hard to choose one! But I think Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte in 110: a gorgeous coral red suitable for day or night, and it tastes like watermelon!
  7. If you had to describe yourself as an animal, what would you be?
Probably a lion, because I can be quite lazy but I'm ambitious at the same time. Lions seem to laze around a lot, but when they have to hunt they really go for it! (Evidence based on nature programmes...)
  8. Favourite high end make-up brand and why?Urban Decay, for the same reason as question 2 ;)
  9. What is the wackiest hair colour you've ever had?
Probably the blue streak I had one time in sixth form. It then proceeded to fade to teal and then green.
  10. What is your make-up Summer staple?
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray - works far better than powdering your face all day!
So the bloggers I'd like to nominate are:
And my questions to them:

1. What inspired you to start blogging?
2. Describe your style in three words:
3. If you were given £1000 to spend, would you choose clothes only or beauty only?
4. Favourite band/artist at the moment?
5. Would you rather never wear makeup, or never be able to remove it?
6. If your life was a movie, who would you want to play you?
7. What's your favourite brand for skincare?
8. If you could only wear one colour on your nails forever, what would it be?
9. You're trapped on a desert island - what three items would you take?
10. What trends are you looking forward to this AW13?

I look forward to reading the responses!
